What is Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa?

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is Canada's first Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which opened on 3 July 2025 in the city's south end on the former Rideau Carleton Raceway site.

What is on site

The roughly $350-million resort features up to 1,500 slot machines, 40 live table games including high-limit play, and a 150-room hotel with 22 suites. Dining runs to six venues (including the Hard Rock Cafe and Council Oak Steaks & Seafood), and Hard Rock Live is a 23,000-square-foot, 1,900-seat performance venue. The property has earned AAA Four Diamond status.

A note on the racetrack

The harness-racing program that ran at Rideau Carleton is being wound down, concluding with the 2026 season as the site completes its transition to the Hard Rock resort.
